• Islanda, Liechtenstein si Norvergia fac parte din Spatiul Economic European, iar Elvetia aplica prevederile acquis-ului Schengen./ Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway are part of the European Economic Area and Switzerland applies the provisions of the Schengen acquis.

Drepturi si obligatii/ Rights and Obligations

Cetatenii Uniunii Europene si S.E.E., precum si membrii familiilor lor, care isi exercita dreptul la libera circulatie si rezidenta pe teritoriul Romaniei, beneficiaza de drepturile si libertatile recunoscute prin Tratatul privind Uniunea Europeana, cum ar fi:
The citizens of the European Union and E.E.A., as well as their family members exercise their right to free movement and residence on the territory of Romania, benefit of the rights and freedoms recognized by the Treaty on European Union, as follows:

• a) se bucura de protectia generala a persoanelor si a averilor, garantata de Constitutie si de alte legi, precum si de drepturile prevazute in tratatele Uniunii Europene si in alte tratate internationale la care Romania este parte;
• a) they benefit of general protection of the persons and goods guaranteed by the Constitution and by other laws, as well as by the rights provided for in the European Union Treaties and in the international treaties to which Romania part of;
• b) se pot deplasa liber si isi pot stabili resedinta sau, dupa caz, domiciliul oriunde pe teritoriul Romaniei;
• b) they may travel freely and establish their residence or, depending to the case, their domicile anywhere on the Romanian territory;
• c) beneficiaza de masuri de protectie sociala din partea statului, in aceleasi conditii ca si cetatenii romani;
• c) they benefit of social protection measures from the state, under the same conditions as the Romanian citizens;
• d) au dreptul sa verifice datele personale inscrise in documentele oficiale eliberate de autoritatile romane si, cand este cazul, sa solicite corectarea sau eliminarea unor date care nu corespund realitatii;
• d) they have the right to check the personal data recorded in the official documents issued by the Romanian authorities and, when necessary, request the correction or deletion of the data that are not real;
• e) au acces neingradit pe piata fortei de munca din Romania, sub rezerva aplicarii masurilor tranzitorii prevazute in Tratatul de aderare a Romaniei la Uniunea Europeana, precum si la desfasurarea altor activitati de natura economica, in conditiile legii aplicabile cetatenilor romani;
• e) they have unlimited access on the Romanian labor force market, on condition that the transitory measures provided for in the Treaty of Accession of Romania to the European Union are applied, as well as to carry out other economical activities, under the law in force for the Romanian citizens;
• f) au acces neingradit la activitatile scolare si de instruire in cadrul sistemului national de invatamant.
• f) they have unlimited access to education and training activities within the national education system.
Persoanele aflate in intretinere, precum si partenerul beneficiaza de drepturile membrilor de familie ai cetateanului Uniunii Europene privind intrarea si rezidenta pe teritoriul Romaniei, in conditiile stabilite de O.U.G. 102/2005, actualizata.
The family members who are dependants, as well as the spouse, benefit of the rights granted to the family members of the European Union citizen regarding the entry and the residence on the Romanian territory, according to E.G.O. 102/2005, updated.
Exercitarea unui drept sau indeplinirea unei formalitati administrative de catre cetatenii Uniunii Europene ori de catre membrii lor de familie nu este conditionata de posesia unui document eliberat de autoritatile romane in conditiile O.U.G. 102/2005, daca, prin orice alt mijloc de proba, persoana interesata dovedeste ca este beneficiara a acelui drept.
Exercising a right or fulfilling an administrative formality by the European Union citizens or by their family members is not conditioned by the possession of a document issued by the Romanian authorities according to E.G.O. 102/2005, if, by any means of evidence, the person proves to be the beneficiary of that right.
Pe timpul sederii in Romania, cetatenii Uniunii Europene, precum si membrii familiilor lor sunt obligati sa respecte legislatia romana.
During the stay in Romania, the European Union citizens, as well as their family members are bound to observe the Romanian law.
